Job Description
  • Responsible for overall technical direction of a project or multiple projects in a domain
  • Provide technical leadership to managers and their teams as well as individual contributors across all locations.
  • Lead a team of technical leaders and engineering professionals responsible to provide timely and effective technical design and implementation services, including expert technical advice on complex matters relating to the design of architecture, database and software application across different business verticals of the Company
  • Provide recommendations to project leaders to increase effectiveness of technology solutions
  • Support business development activities by responding to architectural questions/sections in a project proposal or RFP
  • Collaborate across business and IT teams to drive architecture strategies, roadmaps and plans that align, anticipate and enable product strategies and priorities
  • Build and grow a highly talented team of engineering professionals that is energized and focused on implementing advanced architecture solutions.
  • Manage team members, including selection, goal setting, annual reviews, compensation planning, career development, and adherence to company policy.
  • Lead the development of software considering the software development lifecycle to establish the road map, guideline and best practices for product development, full solution specification and delivery assurance.
  • Exercise responsibility for the coordination of projects and programs of work associated with the effective development, delivery and maintenance of technical solutions.
  • Perform code refactoring to improve code maintainability and architecture extendibility throughout development cycle
  • Review documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments developed by the team of software engineers.
  • Apply expert technical knowledge and expertise to contribute to the development of policies, procedures and the formulation of a robust and scalable architecture for external clients, in accordance with established policies and procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Manage the planning and achievement of clients objectives, goals and priorities, through the application of extensive knowledge, expertise and experience
  • Travel overseas to work with the delivery teams every year and overseas clients.

  • B.Tech/ B.S. or M.Tech/ M.S. or Phd. in Computer Science, IT or related field.
  • Substantial professional experience with over 12 years of software design and development, architecture design, algorithmic design, database design and development, and project management

Mandatory Skills

1. Should be proficient in following areas of .Net (.Net 2.0 or        
  • In coding C#/VB.Net, ASP.NET
  • Silverlight, XML, HTML, CSS, JSON and AJAX
  • Development of Windows services, Web services, SOAP, WCF services
  • Multithreading
  • Development of Data Access Modules using ADO.NET, Linq, EntityFramework
  • Debugging/troubleshooting in .Net
2. Should be proficient in SQL Server 2008 and above in following areas
  • T-SQL Stored Procedures
  • Debugging/troubleshooting in SQL
  • Transaction in SQL
  • SQL Objects like indexes, User defined Data types, triggers.
3. Should have following design skills
  • Proficiency in OOP
  • Knowledge on Design Patterns
  • Knowledge on Unit testing Patterns
4. Understanding of Algorithms and Data structures

5. Experience on Requirement/Design/Code Review & Inspections

6. Experience on Estimation Practices: Effort and Schedule

Desirable Skills
  • Ability to interact with clients
  • Have used SVN, Jira, TeamCity
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Exposure to Dev metrics - Code Metrics, FX COP, Defect Density, Code Coverage, Review Effectiveness, Defect Removal Efficiency etc.
